Pablo Rodrigo joins our team at SBP

We were delighted recently to welcome Pablo Rodrigo to the team here at Stuart Barton Physiotherapy. A qualified physiotherapist and osteopath, Pablo is also finishing his Masters in Chinese medicine, so bringing a  extra dimension to our work here. Before joining us Pablo worked with various Scottish football clubs including Hearts.

Having worked in professional football, Pablo is very good at sports injuries, but his expertise also includes spinal manipulation and visceral manipulation. The ‘viscera’ is the collective name of our internal organs, they can influence spinal pain and general well-being and Pablo has a unique approach to this fascinating area.

Having had a session with Pablo himself Stuart said ‘You can tell when you watch Pablo treating patients that he is an expert in manipulation.  He personally treated my ‘viscera’ – my liver had a blockage apparently and with a few unusual maneuvers I felt a strange release sensation on my right side (if felt like a sucking sensation).  I was then energised for the rest of the day – interestingly Pablo didn’t lay a finger on my back but my lower back felt hot, like there was a hot water bottle on it.  All very strange but wonderful.  I knew then that we had someone special on our team.’

Pablo is based at our Lundin Links Clinic on Wednesdays and Fridays and in our Anstruther Clinic on Thursdays
